The Conservative Council plan to extend the CPZ parking hours in Addiscombe have been defeated by an overwhelming response from residents opposed to the changes.
Your Addiscombe Councillors presented a petition to the Council meeting on Monday 31st January with almost 600 names from residents urging the Conservative controlled council to reconsider the CPZ hour changes. We have also received many letters and spoken to residents on the doorsteps who are concerned about these changes.
The conservative council are proposing changes to local parking which will significantly impact many Addiscombe residents. It is proposed that all the outer central Controlled Parking Zones (CPZs), which currently operate from 9am to 5pm Monday to Saturday, will be brought in line with the restrictions currently in place in the Central Zone. This will mean that all CPZ hours in Addiscombe will be 8am to Midnight Monday to Sunday, including Bank Holidays.
