Improving Fire Safety in Addiscombe

Croydon Council has led the way across the country in our response to make sure that there is not another Grenfell. Croydon Council has already started on a multi-million investment programme to install sprinklers in 25 of our tallest tower blocks that are 10 storeys or above, including Fisher Close in Addiscombe, which is an 8-storey sheltered accommodation block.

Croydon Housing department is going to spend over £10m on various measures to improve fire safety in Croydon’s own stock but so far the Government has failed to fund any of these new costs.

Information on Croydon’s programme can be found on Croydon’s website at https://www.croydon.gov.uk/housing/firesafety
