Clyde Hall, Home of Surrey Opera

Did you know that Addiscombe is home to one of England’s leading semi-professional opera companies? Surrey Opera is based at Clyde Hall, Clyde Road, and have performed across South of England for over 40 years. Addiscombe Councillors were pleased to support the purchase of Clyde Hall in 2010 which both saved the building and its continued use as a centre for cultural activities.

Surrey Opera put on a couple of productions a year, the latest being Camelot, which they perform at theatres in Sevenoaks and Redhill.

As a semi-professional company there are openings for both young professional singers and for amateurs to sing in the Chorus. Anyone interested in becoming a member of the Surrey Opera Chorus should contact the Company’s Chorus Administrator, Mark Edwards. If possible please include details of your singing/musical/stage experience.

To apply for forthcoming auditions, please email , and include your CV and headshot. Surrey Opera will email you when their next round of auditions are scheduled, and add you to their list for future castings.
