Demolition of Cherry Orchard Gardens restart (dangerously)

Not much protection for passerbys or cars

In April Menta’s contractors were forced to stop demolishing Cherry Orchard Gardens as they had not got permission from Croydon Council. This left two of the four blocks standing, with the site looking a real eyesore for local residents and businesses. Today, Monday 9th May 2011 demolition works have restarted. As a pedestrian walking past the site I was not impressed by the safety precaution for passing cars and pedestrians.
